Ha ha, this is funny.
I’ve seen (and worked in) a few places that look this bad–or worse.
One thing I can say for sure: it always takes more than one a** to create this type of mess, and it definitely happens over time, not all at once.
Another thing I’m pretty sure of: the boss isn’t paying attention, otherwise this stuff wouldn’t happen.

Lan cables with little (cheap) optical fibers on the outside would be cool, you could light one end with a laser and the whole cable would light up.

In response to xdc and angus. xdc how would you feel if you walked in there to fix a cabling issue and couldn’t find both ends of the cable to solve the problem and angus it’s cause it’s disorganized as all hell. http://www.dtc-consulting.net/Technolgies.html that site has some good examples of clean proper wiring

Its not like you are going to have guests in there. The important thing is that the network works… not that the cables are neat…
