You think these protrusions on this boat look strange now? Dr. Robert Dane, CEO of Solar Sailor, says, “We are confident we can build everything up to ocean liners and in fifty years time people will look back at boats of the 20th Century and they’ll say ‘where are the wings’?”

They have plans for several types of boats, from Catamarans and Houseboats to huge Cruisers and Government Aquatankers. They’ve been interviewed by ABC NewsRadio where they talked about creating ferries in New York similar to the ones currently floating in Sydney and planned to be in Hawaii, Dubai and Hong Kong Soon. CNN also did a report on then titled “Green Ships for Blue Highways”.

I know I’m not the perfect candidate for a cleaner tomorrow, but I try and it’s great to see large corporations going the extra mile.

Wind power is a good source of electricity but it also takes up lots of space just like solar power plants.::-
